✨ General Policies

Right to Refuse Service
Serenity Massage & Energywork reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion, in order to maintain a safe and respectful environment for both clients and staff.

Medical Disclaimer
Our services are intended to support general well-being and are not a substitute for medical care. Our therapists are not licensed to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or treat physical or mental health disorders.

Communication During Sessions
Your comfort and safety are our priority. If you experience pain or discomfort at any time during your session, please notify your therapist immediately so adjustments can be made. By receiving services without communicating discomfort, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for any resulting soreness or discomfort.

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. While we strive to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all information, Serenity Massage & Energywork makes no warranties—express or implied—regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the website content, including product and service descriptions. Payment Policy
We accept cash and card payments for all services and deposits. Please note: we do not accept checks. To avoid card processing fees, you’re welcome to pay for your next session in cash when checking out from your current appointment.

Minor Policy
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the treatment room at all times—no exceptions. Minors are not permitted to wait unattended in the lobby or outside the room during a session.

Unopened, unworn, unused products may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase for an item of equal or lesser value.

Used, Worn or Opened items are not eligible for exchange unless defective.


💍 Earrings Policy
For hygienic reasons:

Earrings are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.

📦 Returns
Eligibility:
Damaged or defective items may be returned within 7 days of purchase, delivery, or pickup for a full refund or exchange.

Returns made after 7 days (up to 30 days) may be eligible for store credit only.

No returns are accepted after 30 days.

🚫 Exceptions (Non-Returnable Items)
The following items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable:

Used or worn items

Opened personal care products and consumables.

Sale or clearance merchandise

A 20% restocking fee applies to returns totaling more than $150

💳 Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you by email and process your refund.

Please allow up to 7 days for processing.

Refunds may take 1–2 billing cycles to appear on your statement depending on your card provider.

🛒 Online Purchases
To return an online purchased item:

Email us at Info@serenitymassageandenergywork.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and form.

Repackage the item securely in its original condition and include the completed RMA form.

Mail it to the address below within 7 days of delivery.

🌿 Membership Policy

📅 Membership Billing
Memberships are billed monthly for six (6) consecutive months on the same calendar day each month.

Each monthly payment includes one 60-minute massage, facial (if available), or 50-minute facial massage.
 

💸 Member Benefits
Enjoy 15% off all additional sessions (1 hour or longer) during your active 6-month membership—no limit on how many you book.

Your 15% discount is non-transferable and may only be used by the enrolled member.

Discounts do not stack with any other promotions, packages, or special offers.

🔁 Transfer Policy
Your monthly membership session may be transferred to another person for a $5 transfer fee, as long as:

Your membership is active, and

The session has not previously been transferred to the same person.

🔄 Renewal & Termination
At the end of your 6-month term, your membership is eligible for renewal.

By enrolling, you agree to receive monthly services at a discounted rate for the full duration of your 6-month term.

Early termination will incur a fee equal to the difference between the discounted member rate and the regular session rate for all services used.

🚫 Household Use
Memberships are individual and may not be shared across a household. Each person must have their own membership.

💳 Failed Payments
If your card on file is declined, our system will retry the charge automatically.

If payment continues to fail, your membership will be automatically canceled.

🔙 Refunds & Cancellation
Membership payments are non-refundable once processed.

If your membership is canceled for any reason, and you've received services under the membership price, you will be billed for the difference between the discounted and regular rates for those services.

📆 Missed or Late Cancellations
Canceling a booked membership session with less than 2 days notice results in forfeiture of that month’s session.

No-call/no-show for a booked session will also result in forfeiture of that session.

💳 Card Processing Fees

Effective December 2024, until further notice

A 3.0% + $0.20 card processing fee will be applied to all credit and debit card transactions.

We value the convenience online booking and card payments provide our clients, and we remain committed to keeping those options available. However, due to rising processing costs, we can no longer absorb these fees.

💵 Cash payments will continue to be accepted without any processing fee.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support.


🛑 Professional & Non-Sexual Services Policy
At Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC, we are committed to delivering therapeutic, professional, and strictly non-sexual massage services. All treatments are performed by licensed therapists and adhere to the highest ethical and clinical standards.

🚫 Zero Tolerance for Inappropriate Conduct
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of sexual solicitation, harassment, or misconduct.

Any client who attempts to initiate or engage in inappropriate behavior—verbally, physically, or through suggestive conduct—will have their session terminated immediately.

No refunds will be issued for terminated services.

The individual will be permanently banned from receiving future services at Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC.

Incidents will be reported to local authorities, and we will cooperate fully with any investigation.

If any client attempts to solicit inappropriate services via phone, text, email, or booking platforms, screenshots or relevant documentation may be submitted to law enforcement to support our zero-tolerance stance.

We are deeply committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for both our clients and therapists. Thank you for honoring this space and helping us maintain its integrity.


📅 Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

At Serenity Massage & Energywork, we respect your time and the livelihood of our therapists. The following policies help ensure fairness and consistency for both our clients and staff.
 

❗ Cancellation Policy & Deposits
All deposits become non-refundable starting two calendar days before your appointment.

To retain your deposit, you must cancel before the calendar date that is two days prior to your scheduled session.

✨ Example: If your appointment is on Friday, you must cancel no later than Wednesday at 11:59pm. Feel free to email (it has a time stamp) to info@serenitymassageandenergywork.com 
 

🚫 No Call / No Show Policy
If we receive no contact within 15 minutes of your appointment start time, it is considered a No Call / No Show.

Your deposit, prepaid session, or gift card on file will be applied to cover the missed session.

If no such payment is on file, your card on file will be charged for the cancellation fee (50% of the total session fee).

If no card is on file, an invoice will be issued, and the outstanding balance must be paid in full before you can book another session.

Multiple no-shows will result in a permanent ban from future booking.

⏰ Late Arrivals
If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, your session may be shortened to fit the remaining time, depending on therapist availability.

Full session fees still apply.

🔄 Rescheduling Policy
We always aim to reschedule rather than cancel whenever possible.

You may reschedule your session once, as long as the request is made before the calendar date that is two days prior to your original appointment.
We do not allow more than one reschedule per appointment, regardless of timing, as each change impacts the therapist's income and provide care to others.
A second reschedule will result in forfeiture of the session and deposit.

👥 Therapist Availability
If You Selected a Preferred Therapist (“Hearted” at Booking)
You will not be reassigned without your consent.

If your preferred therapist becomes unavailable, we will make every effort to contact you by phone, voicemail, or email to reschedule.

If we are unable to reach you within an hour of your scheduled session, your appointment will be automatically canceled to avoid confusion or unnecessary travel.

If You Did Not Select a Preferred Therapist
Your session will be reassigned to another available therapist in order to keep your appointment time.

⚧ Gender Preference
If you do not have a gender preference listed, we may assign any available therapist regardless of gender.

If you have a specific gender preference, please contact us at 712-256-2131 so we can update your client profile accordingly.


📚 Continuing Education (CE) Policies

At Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC, our Continuing Education workshops and training programs are offered solely for educational purposes. These programs are designed to teach techniques and concepts specific to each modality, within the scope of professional practice.

Our classes are not intended to diagnose, treat, or heal any physical or mental health conditions.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they understand and remain within their licensed or certified scope of practice when applying any skills or techniques learned.

Any use of information, tools, or methods presented is at the sole discretion and responsibility of the participant

🗓️ CE Class Cancellation & Refund Policy
Our cancellation policy ensures fairness to both instructors and participants, especially given limited seating and advance material preparation.

✅ Cancellations Made More Than 2 Weeks in Advance
Receive a full refund, minus:

Any non-refundable class supply costs, and

Credit card processing fees.

⚠️ Cancellations Made Between 1–2 Weeks Before the Class
Eligible for a 50% refund of the registration fee.

Supply costs and processing fees are non-refundable.

🚫 Cancellations Made 1 Week or Less Before the Class
No refunds will be provided.

We appreciate your understanding. These policies help us maintain a respectful, prepared, and effective learning environment for all participants and instructors.

 

Gift Card Policy

The purchase or use of a Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC gift card constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

  1. Expiration and Validity: All gift cards expire a year from the date of purchase and are non-refundable. Is state opr federal laws extend the expiration date- we will follow those laws. However, It will only be for the amount actually paid- not the the value it was given if during a sale or special. 

  2. Scheduling: Gift cards are redeemable for services, but we will not reschedule other clients to accommodate gift card use. Gift cards are subject to availability, and we encourage booking well in advance to secure your preferred time.

  3. Responsibility and Replacement: Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC is not responsible for unauthorized use, loss, theft, or damage to gift cards. Replacement is only possible with valid proof of purchase for the remaining balance. Altered or defaced proofs of purchase are void.

  4. Non-Cash Redemption: Gift cards are not redeemable for cash or credit, except as required by law.

  5. Price Adjustments: If our prices have increased since the gift card purchase date, any difference between the gift card amount and the current service price will be due at checkout.

Thank you for understanding and respecting these terms, which ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all clients.

🤒 Illness & COVID-19 Policy

At Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC, the health and safety of our clients and staff remain a top priority. The following policies are in place to help prevent the spread of illness and protect the wellness of our community.
 

🔁 Rescheduling Due to Illness or Exposure
You agree to reschedule your appointment if you have experienced any of the following within the 7 days prior to your appointment:

Cold or flu-like symptoms (including cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, or fatigue)

Gastrointestinal symptoms (such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea)

A positive test or known exposure to a contagious illness, including COVID-19, influenza, RSV, or strep throat

Caring for or living with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or another contagious illness within the past 7 days
 

😷 Mask Policy
If masking is required by Serenity Massage & Energywork at the time of your session (due to public health guidance or practitioner request), you agree to wear a face covering during your appointment.

We may also request masking in the event of a seasonal outbreak or elevated illness transmission in the community.

⚠️ Acknowledgment of Health Risks
By confirming your appointment, you acknowledge that receiving bodywork and energy services may carry the risk of exposure to contagious illnesses, including COVID-19.
You voluntarily assume this risk and understand that exposure may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.

🛑 Liability Waiver
You understand that illness exposure may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself or others, including employees, volunteers, and other clients. By entering our establishment, you voluntarily release Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC from any claims related to illness exposure or infection during your visit.
