8 hours hands on $200 March 16th 2026 9am to 5pm This Reiki I course provides structured training in the traditional Usui Reiki system. Students explore the history and lineage of Reiki, gain a clear understanding of what Reiki is, and study the Five Reiki Principles. These foundational topics, along with attunement and initiation, are completed within the first portion of class. The remainder of the course focuses on learning and practicing the first Reiki symbol, self-treatment, ethical practice and consent, and traditional hand placements with appropriate timing. Students spend most of the class engaged in guided hands-on practice to build confidence in both personal Reiki practice and offering sessions to others. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Describe the history of Usui Reiki and identify the lineage of transmission. Define Reiki and explain its purpose as a method of hands-on healing. State and interpret the Five Reiki Principles as the foundation of Reiki practice. Participate in a Reiki I attunement and explain the role of initiation in the Reiki system. Identify, draw, and explain the function of the first Reiki symbol. Demonstrate a complete Reiki self-treatment sequence following traditional structure. Apply informed consent, ethical considerations, and appropriate boundaries in Reiki practice. Demonstrate traditional Reiki hand placements and appropriate timing for a session. Provide and receive supervised hands-on Reiki practice with another participant.
